Meet Mina & Sarah
Saint Germain Catering is 100 percent woman-owned and operated company thanks to the dedication of its President, Mina Ebrahimi, and General Manager, Sarah Miller.
Mina has worked in the food-service industry since the age of nine and has maintained her own business since the age of 26!
Mina Ebrahimi
Mina Ebrahimi's parents, Mohammad and Mino, immigrated to America in 1978 during the Iranian Revolution in an effort to give Mina and her sister, Mariam, the chance to live a life without turmoil.
Since the age of nine, Mina has capitalized on that decision, working alongside her parents in the food-service industry starting with a small bakery they bought in Seven Corners, VA. After her parents started St. Germain Cafe, and later the catering aspect of the business in Tyson's Galleria in 1988, Mina had access to learn and grow as a cook, dishwasher, waitress and manager. She made friends and contacts across the mall and Northern Virginia community, and it's those connections that continue to inspire St. Germain Catering to this day.
"Having the opportunity to own my own business as a woman is huge for me because I am from Iran," Ebrahimi told The Connection Newspaper. "Thank God I had the opportunity, because I would never have been able to do this overseas."
Since 26, Mina has been maintaining and growing her company. It now resides in a 6000 square foot building in Tyson's Corner, and she has solid relationships all across the greater Washington D.C. metro area to show for it. Click here to read some testimonials from clients and partnering vendors.
Mina lives with her dog, Jack, whose illnesses while just a puppy inspired her to start the Jack Ebrahimi Program for Interventional Endoscopic and Radiologic Diagnostics and Therapeutics at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine.
Sarah Miller
Sarah graduated from Mount Saint Mary's College and has held the position of general manager since 2006. Each day, she ensures continued growth and success of the business thanks to her detail-oriented event planning, coordination of vendor deliveries and oversight of the many daily operations across all aspects of the company . It's that ability to diversify that has been so vital to Sarah's success as our general manager.
"Coordinating all aspects of catering at Saint Germain is an honor," Sarah said. "Working with Mina, fantastic clients and the incredibly talented, courteous staff has made this job even more so a dream come true."
Prior to coming on board with Saint Germain Catering, Sarah was employed with KPMG LLP.
